Mayor Hodges I just read your piece on pointer gate and it is through this very eloquent retort that I learned about you your accomplishments and your character. My compliments to you madam. I am seriously concerned about the militarization of America’s police and the blurring of the lines between the military and domestic policing. I am concerned about the burning of the US Constitution which has insidiously crepted forward since 911 and the patriot act. History says that they first go after the poor and minorities. The rest of us stand back and watch. But when they go finally go after us, there will be no one left to watch.

That police union chief just gave you an “us versus them” or a “with us or against us” mentality. It is neither. The only side that we are on is the side of the Constitution and its rule of law. You certainly understand this and this is why the people of Minneapolis elected you.

Through your retort you have stood up to a form of tyranny. Please do not back down ever you are a ray of light and hope.

  3. I take my hat off to you for maintaining a mature response. I think this “pointergate” is absurd. You didn’t do anything wrong. Keep it up.
